Privately owned and secluded in a forested coast overlooking the Baltic Sea, the Enso-Gutzeit Oy Country Club and Sauna (1951-1952) is an unassuming pair of buildings that represents Finnish vernacular architecture during the height of Alvar Aalto's career. The studio surveyed, documented, and modelled the site and its architecture to better understand the design approach within a protected native landscape.
